For three weeks an exhibition (and wine tasting) of wine barrels from the Château Puech Haut is taking place at the Chai & Bar in Brussels. I tried to take pictures of the most interesting barrels. Next the exhibition will go to Paris, New York, Monaco and then back home to Château.
And who better to end the tour on day 5 with than Manneke Pis? This time dressed up in a Turkish folkloric outfit. Not sure the hat fits!
Day 4 of the tour: a detail on the Grand Place which I hope you will get the chance to discover for yourself one day. As an amateur photographer I will never get the chance to take the whole Grand Place in. But I will try to show it to you through other means.
Day 3 of the tour: Getting closer to the Grand Place... you cna already get a peak of the square.
Day 2 of the tour: walking towards the Grand Place from the MIM, you will see this house on your right. Again a very interesting piece of Belgian architecture. Obviously the house is straight :)
With me gone, but summer back in Brussels, this is the best opportunity to show you this and the other 'sight' you will come across in Brussels.
As we will be getting ready for a 5 day virtual trip of Brussels, food and drinks are in order. Now I would really like to know if your supermarkets are the same as ours? This one is my local. Aiki Noodles on the left :)
For two days only the Provence came to Brussels. Saturday and Sunday everyone around the Grand Place enjoyed fields of lavender, the smells and products made of it ... and generally a whole Provence atmosphere. Happy Monday everyone.
I am sorry I end the week with such a strikingly sad picture ... I came across it on my way to work and I was just shocked by the power of this call for help.

For one Sunday I will step away from the usual graffiti, and introduce to you ... Gaston Lagaffe. Started by Franquin in 1960, Gaston Lagaffe is a constant presence on the Belgian cartoon scene. I understand there is a certain particularity about the numbering of the cartoon books, yet I haven't been able to decipher it yet.
In lack of sun and summer, and the constant rain, an older picture of a very 60's alien looking bulding.
I went to a cocktail last night ... whilst next door, it seems a mystery party was going on.
