The weekend was spent discovering the surroundings of Brussels. Amongst others, Louvain-la-Neuve.

Visiting LLN turned out to be quite an adventure, as the city is a 'ville pietons', which means 'city of pedestrians'. Not knowing this, we tried to go by car into the city. However that's impossible: you constantly turn around in a huge parking which seems to 'guard' the city.

Once in the city, I saw this fist in the wall, on the main square. Very striking. No message, no nothing.

i spent 6 months as an erasmus student in Louvain-la-Neuve...the place is mental! lots of great murals, but a bizarre atmosphere with no cars and only students...at the weekends it felt very empty as all the belgian students went home leaving all us foreign students on our own with the beer!
