The current exhibition on Art Nouveau (a big thing in Belgium) at the Museum of Modern Arts (the Musée Royaux des Beaux-Arts).

Still in Louvain-la-Neuve. Main square. Statue of a couple reading a book. I might be wrong, but I have rarely seen such a peaceful statue. It infused calm just by standing next to it, taking a picture.

The weekend was spent discovering the surroundings of Brussels. Amongst others, Louvain-la-Neuve.

Visiting LLN turned out to be quite an adventure, as the city is a 'ville pietons', which means 'city of pedestrians'. Not knowing this, we tried to go by car into the city. However that's impossible: you constantly turn around in a huge parking which seems to 'guard' the city.

Once in the city, I saw this fist in the wall, on the main square. Very striking. No message, no nothing.

If you ever visit Brussels, then Maison Antoine is a must. Maison Antoine is selling Belgian fries for over 60 years, and they are the best. On weekends count to wait well over 20min to get your fries (even if it is raining) - still traditionally wrapped in paper cones (newspaper has been recently banned).
