Weird

Not entirely sure what it means, but it caught my eye. There used to be a graffiti Sunday right? :)

Agorafolly

As I was mentioning, the Europalia includes several events. One of them is the Agorafolly, a public display of art. Very controversial discussions at the moment as many works of art have been destroyed by vandalism yet the city doesn't seem to do anything about it ... so the artists took matter into their own hands. A very much needed initiative.
Oh and btw, Belgium still doesn't have a government!

Bonom

A graffiti artist which is currently making waves in Brussels: Bonom. I recently came across this 'baby' graffiti, easily missed if you don't look up. More Bonom.

Busy

A very busy day. From the archives, a small graffiti. Any guesses on who it could be?

A different graffiti I came across.

Graffiti Sunday

I remember at a certain point we had graffiti Sunday. So ... Sunday ... shine.
More colourful than my graffiti, the Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade took place down town Brussels. Unfortunately I missed it (it is a photographers dream!), but you can see some photos here.

Martial Art Girl

I am not sure if the graffiti Sunday will transfer to 2007 as well, but I came across this little girl (?) on a wall and thought it was pretty cute. Although I have to admit that chaotic graffiti left and right is probably not always the best.

What do you think of graffiti - is it art, not? I would love to read your opinions.

Thank you to Denton from Greenville DP who is helping the Brussels DP while I am abroad.
